Newberg 2008 Racers, Pit Crew, Family, Friends and Volunteers: In order to insure a well organized pits we are implementing a strict layout. Below you will find an aerial view of the Please be patient with us this we continue to implement this idea; understand though that you will be instructed to relocate your equipment not matter how big, small or complicated if you setup outside an area designated for your group. Key concepts that we are trying to achieve: - The spectators are confined to the length of the bank starting at the side walk south from the tower to the security fence along the ramp as has been our standard (this is no change). - Racers have entire center area of the parking lot as pits. This area is separated in two to accommodate the different needs of the outboard racers who would get the area closest to the ramp vs. the tunnel boats which have tractors to move them to and from the water. Both groups are allowed to consume adjacent spaces for their boat trailer, RV and/or tow vehicle(s) to allow them to have all their equipment, crew and family consolidated into their individual pit areas. Note, there is additional Outboard Race Trailer parking designated to the south of the center pit area; this area is for outboard trailers only, no camping or tow vehicles are allowed in these areas. Your pit operations must be kept to a minimum to prevent a hazard to spectators that are walking by and to keep the traffic lanes open for tractors and emergency vehicles. - Campers and equipment trailer parking are confined to the entire north side of the parking lot along the grass. RVs to the west, equipment storage to the east. All none racer camping is confined to this area to allow a better organized pit. Another area for RVs is the parking adjacent to the brick toilet structure. Ken Kaiser
